UKS2 Angel Share

15 Nov
UKS2 children made Christmas decorations for the Stowmarket Christmas Tree Festival this afternoon. Our inspiration was taken from one of the paintings which hopefully we will see on our visit to the National Gallery next week.

The Wilton Diptych, pictured below,  features the Madonna and child with angels dressed in blue. The children and members of their families followed step by step instructions and a range of art resources to create lots of beautiful angels in response to the painting. We hope children will be able to go to the Christmas Tree festival and search out their angels!

Comments about the share from parents:
‘Very organised – everyone knew what to do and easy to get it all done in the time allowed.’
‘It was a lovely idea to incorporate the topic with the CHristmas Tree Festival. Thoroughly enjoyable activity and extra time spent with my child.’
‘As usual, another fab, fun share activity. In fact, we enjoyed making the angels do much, we will be making them at home too. Thank you.’
‘Great fun, enjoyed time with my child watching her create.’
