What do you love about the outdoors in Suffolk?
Suffolk Libraries are inviting all children and young people aged between 5-14 to enter an exciting new
writing competition for the Festival of Suffolk. There are three categories for Key Stage 1, 2 and 3
children. There will be a winner and a runner-up for each category. Inspired by nature and the
environment, they want you to write about what you love about the outdoors.
Entries can be in the form of a short story, comic strip or a storyboard but must be no bigger than a
single side of A4.

How to submit your story
Children have until 30 th June to submit their entries.
Entries can be handwritten and submitted to your local library, or written electronically and emailed
to mysuffolkstory@suffolklibraries.co.uk.
Entries must include:
Name
Age
Contact details
There are Prizes!!!
The prize for first place will be a tablet, with the first runner up receiving a £50 book token and the
second runner up receiving a book token worth £25 for each age category.
The winners will be announced on 15 July.
