After half term, our LKS2 topic will be the Anglo Saxons.  We were really hoping to be able to do an offsite visit, but we have been unable to secure this.  However, to compliment our study of the anglo saxons, we have invited History Off the Page to provide an Anglo Saxon Workshop Day in the school on Friday 23rd June 2023.

There is a voluntary contribution for the day is £4.00*, which will go to a whole day of learning. Please make your contribution, no later than Wednesday 21st June 2023. The cost of this visit will be largely subsidised by the school PFA.

History Off the Page is a company which provides immersive and practical History, Science and Literature workshops to schools. The workshop, will take place in the school hall during normal school hours, will give us a feeling of what it was like to be and anglo saxon, with the opportunity to participate in a range of cross-curricular activities and crafts. 

The children may keep the items they make.

A simple costume will help your child feel part of the day. There is no need to buy a costume and we attach an idea sheet of what could be worn.
