Red Nose Day
Red Nose Day
17th March 2023
Red Nose Day is Friday 17th March.
Bosmere School and Learning Council are asking that everyone comes to school dressed all in red from head to toe, wear something red or wear your brightest socks. We are going to dress up for joy!
The suggested donation is £1 per child as we have set our target of £250 for the whole school. Please donate via the online just giving link below. (We are NOT accepting cash for this event).
Did you know that £10 could go towards supporting homeless young people in the UK? It can provide them with a hygiene pack so that they can keep clean whilst sleeping rough?
Bosmere Primary School - Just Giving - Red Nose Day 2023
Thank you

Big Walk and Wheel 2023
Big Walk and Wheel 2023
20th March 2023 - 31st March 2023
Dear Parents/Carers,
Get set… we’re taking part in Sustrans Big Walk and Wheel 2023 the UK’s largest inter-school cycling, walking, wheeling and scooting challenge. The challenge runs from 20-31 March. It’s free and we would love everyone to be involved. What do you need to do? Encourage your child(ren) to walk, use a wheelchair, scoot or cycle to school on as many days as possible during the event. Why we are taking part Sustrans Big Walk and Wheel is a great way to build physical activity in children’s daily routine which is important for their physical health and mental wellbeing. Active school runs also help to reduce congestion and air pollution outside the school gate. A 2021 YouGov study showed nearly half of UK children worry about air pollution near their school. And that children thought active travel was the best away to bring down these pollution levels. Plus there are some great prizes to be won every day if we get enough children taking part! Useful resources To help you prepare, Sustrans has developed a handy free guide to walking, cycling or scooting to school. It is packed with advice to help you have hassle-free journey to school. Download your free family guide using this link: https://www.sustrans.org.uk/sign-up-to-receive-your-free-school-run-guide/ For more information about the event go to www.bigwalkandwheel.org.uk . Enjoy the challenge!

Easter Hat Parade (Nur/R/Y1/2)
Easter Hat Parade (Nur/R/Y1/2)
31st March 20239:00 am - 9:30 am
Dear parents and carers,
The PFA will be holding the annual Easter Hat Parade on Friday 31st March 2023 at 9am and we would like to invite parents/ carers to come and watch. As per previous years it is for children in nursery, reception and KS1. Tea and coffee will be available. Please drop your child into school as usual and wait in the playground to watch the parade.
Hats should be made at home and we have attached an ideas sheet. If you would like to order any crafty bits to decorate your hat, don't forget to please use Yellow Moon quoting SB01162.
Many Thanks for your support
