I’m Jonathan Hayes, one of the parent governors. Being involved in and supporting education is important to me and I believe that I can help ensure that our children receive the best education possible at Bosmere. My son attends and loves being part of the community at Bosmere School.
I work as risk director for a national business and am involved extensively in the governance of the organisation. I work with my colleagues, shareholders and others to ensure that we provide a safe, enjoyable and profitable working environment and great customer experience.
I’m a trustee of two charities, one local based in Needham Market, the other a national professional membership and training organisation based in London.
Outside of work, looking after two boys, the cats, chickens and hindering in the garden take up most of my time, although I do try to play badminton and get to a few Leicester Tigers games every year.
As a governor I sit on the Finance & Premises Committee.
Being a governor is enjoyable and also very challenging. It’s rewarding and also a very steep learning curve.
